Description
I am just taking a look at a team i would build for now and leaving the space for Terry, Zegras and Drysdales price for the following season.

I know I am going to take heat for trading Comtois, but I am looking at space on this team and where we can add more draft capital.

I'd consider that Comtois trade because MTL's pick is so high. I'm also unsure how large of a role Comtois would play in the team's future with Pastujov on the rise and potentially another elite LW prospect joining the group this or next year.

Forsberg probably gets more money elsewhere

Carrick should definitely get more than that, definitely more than DLo, Steel and Urho.

A question I'm asking myself after seeing this: Is there a possibility the Ducks trade Milano? He hasn't been in rumours as much as Comtois, but his value is probably as high as ever and I'm not sure what role he would play in the future. And he could ask for more money than the Ducks should give him this summer. What could a possible return be?

Montreal wouldnt be willing to give up that pick. The habs are giving up a 1st round pick worth of value for a guys who would be 21st this year on points on the habs . Not happening

I have also thought about a Milano trade as well for the exact reason

I don't see VGK accepting and the deal for Kubalik isn't good for CHI.

Can't compare those points totals that easily. Comtois was injured and his wrist injury was a problem even when he played early in the season. He was also constantly put in a position to fail by Dallas Eakins. He's only gotten some ice time with quality players recently. I'm not saying the Habs would do this trade (I don't think they would), but the point total comparison doesn't work, especially since MSL is the MTL coach now.
