I think Edmonton would be the one team he would refuse to play for. This isn’t bad, but on some of the trades, the value is everywhere. For example, Seattle won’t give a top 10 pick, same as San Jose, etc. Either than that, it’s not bad! Call me crazy, or slap me across the face, but I think Winnipeg may take that, if they don’t want to rebuild. The first would be hard to part with, but Heinola isn’t needed with Morrissey, Samberg, Dillon, Stanley etc. That would make a good defence for right now, and the future. Marino is a top 4 defence man.. they need one.

Marino is absolutely not worth Zellweger and a 1st from a rebuilding team

Olen Zellweger, with 71 points in 50 games, currently has the highest D+1 equivalency (E = 35) among dmen since Adam Fox's 1st yr at Harvard (E = 35). Zellweger is a comparative seven months younger than Fox was in his D+1 season. This guy could be something real nice.

There's no way of knowing that before the season starts.

Not that Marino is worth that if pieces like Stankoven or Top10 overall picks are included.

Agreed. I’ve watched him play in the WHL this year. He is very good… I wouldn’t trade him. His vision, and how he plays on the ice is insane! His pass, even his shot is very good too. Definitely knows where to place the puck.

Zellweger is special. Between McTavish, Zellweger and Pastujov the Ducks absolutely killed this past draft

It looks like this kid is going to be something special, After the Lindholm trade I cant see us trading a prospect like Zellweger away

For sure! They could if they really wanted the player, but I think they would want a guy with higher potential. As a side note, I wish he didn’t leave Edmonton… he’s very good. You guys should keep him no matter what.. of course you move him if you get an upgrade. Like I said, Winnipeg takes that. That’s a good trade for Winnipeg, and I bet some other teams take their offers too!

Maybe something along the lines of Brayden Tracey and the Boston 1st? Might not be enough but I'm not to sure what PIT would be looking for position-wise in a Marino deal

I think so too. With Vaakanainen, coming up, Fowler locked up, I think trading Lindholm was a great move! Zellweger will be a top 4 defence man in the future. I even like his defensive game.. granted, I only watched some of his games, but he looked great! If he can round out his defensive game a bit more, I would say a top pair of Zellweger, Drysdale could be very good. It’s been a while since I've seen a player with that kind of vision, speed, shot, and pass all in one. He is for sure, a special player.

The Sabres would be giving up a 14th overall pick from last year's draft, plus their own 23 first (presumably top 10 protected), that's also a ton. Be interesting to see what he actually goes for if Pitt moves him, I can't see anybody paying these asking prices.

Yah, I mean, that also leaves a hole too, unless you get a RHD back. I’m not trying to say don’t make trades for him again, because, well, I can’t do that. Haha, I don’t care if you want to, go ahead, but I would advise not doing it. Also, I saw you asked Salzy what he wanted for Marino, and he said Tracey, and a first. I don’t think they would trade for him as I think they think Helleson is doing to be a top 4 defence man. He may not be one, but he looks good.

Looking as polished as he does at 18 is huge. Growing up in Windsor Ontario watching Zellweger reminds me so much of Ryan Ellis when he was on the Spitfires, its uncanny to me.

Henry Thrun out of Harvard looks to be a great pick too. Out-scored Owen Power over the NCAA season and is a nominee for best defensive defenseman in the NCAA, he's going back for one more NCAA season though. Between Zellweger, Vaakanainen, Thrun and Drysdale the Future Ducks blueline seems to be in a phenomenal spot

Think its safe to say those are the two most valuable packages here. I had Rosen confused with a different prospect when I said the Ducks was most valuable by far, Sabres is definitely up there
