Zadorov is impactful but best used as a 3rd pair bruiser, not worth 4M imo. Certainly would rather keep Brodie. Nylander is 30G and nearly a P/PG, that's not gonna cut it. Smith and Trochek are fine but don't fix the willy hole.

Not interested in trading L'Heureux right now, but NSH takes that-- TOR doesn't offer it though.

So you’re trying to allow 4+ goals a game now instead of improving the defence?

Well this has to be about most "creative" post. Just fantasy that two NTCs, hometown Muzzin and Brodie are waiving to go to non playoff teams. Trochek signing with the Leafs....very doubtful

Good thing this team has $3M+ in cap space to work with at the trade deadline

This team would be sellers by the time the deadline came around

For moving a soft player in Nylander? Give me two 40 point players who can throw their weight around over a 70 point player who is afraid of physical contact

No from absolutely poor defence and even worse goaltending.. Kallgren is nothing more than a AHL goalie and Husso is no more experienced or reliable than Campbell. On top of that, this bottom 6 would be eaten alive. Marchment is so overrated on this site that it’s not even funny anymore - he’s benefited from his linemates all season and Toronto traded him for a reason before (being his sub par skating ability that hasn’t improved) and they’re not gonna want him back. You’re 4th line is downright awful, you put a guy that’s an enforcer out with a rookie and a guy that’s had 1 bounce back decent year and is really mainly a defensive guy that doesn’t create offence. There’s nothing there to indicate that that line would do anything against teams except be hemmed in their own zone more often than not and with that goalie situation and defence it’s only gonna lead to more goals against.

Leafs have built their team around guys that push the puck up ice and create offence and every guy you’ve brought in doesn’t do that. This team would at best be fighting for a wild card spot unless Matthews, Marner, and Tavares all have MVP type seasons.

Or Nashville should take it. Not sure you can pry L’Heureux from Poiles hands though. No way Toronto goes for it either way.
