I think Washington declines here. I see Greenway's upside as 3rd or fringe 2nd line guy, while what Washington saw from Protas this year gives me more of the opinion that he is a legit Top 6 option in the future. Tack on a 2nd round pick and it is far too much for Washington to give up, especially with the current log jam of NHL ready wingers.

The grief line is one of the best in the nhl. Foligno and ek struggle without Jordan greenway. Don't know why you think Guerin who loves big body players like greenway is going to trade him, take him off a line that struggle without him. Especially after giving him a 3 years extension. It would be like saying Guerin would trade Alex G. Sorry but as a wild fan , as a black person not going to agree with you that both goid black player's should be traded

man i wish the wild could keep all those players. i agree greenway is very unlikely to be traded after singing a 3 yeats extansion. but i think they ahould.move on from dumba instead of fiala. for the first time in their franchise, the wild have are a deep team.scoring threat, and with all the d prospct in the system, it might make more sense to trade him.

To be fair, Protas is the same height and only 2 lbs lighter than Greenway. So even if you believe Guerin is someone "who loves big body players" (which I don't think is necessarily true, he traded 6'3" Sturm for Jost... I don't think he cares too much about height as long as he believes the trade will make the team better) - you are not losing any size here.

And I don't see how this post has literally anything to do with race... they aren't the only players being moved here. Sure, they're good hockey players that happen to be black, but it's just a fact that Dumba and Greenway have larger, moveable contracts and naturally their names will be all over trade rumors this offseason.

There are multiple options to make room for KF for 2022/2023 after moving Dumba. I could see Greenway moved summer 2023 to make space for Boldy if needed.

Yeah, I agree, I think the Caps decline here. They are going to have their own cap issues this offseason and Protas still has 2 years on his ELC after this season. Not to mention he has been solid for them and is only 21.

Besides the fact that greenway has signed a 3 teats extension. Goose signed 2 and yet nobody is discussing him being moved. It's just interesting to me how one can say greenway will be in rumors when things like that doesn't happen, player being traded after signing extension and how grief line isn't being broken up

I don't think anyone is discussing Goligoski being moved because he hasn't been good for over half the season. What team will want a 37 year old offensive LD signed at $2M AAV over 2 years? What does Goligoski have anything to do with this anyways? If your point is that he's a white hockey player that isn't being discussed as a potential candidate to be moved even though he was just re-signed, then I'm sorry, but gtfo of here with that garbage. Does the fact I think Kulikov is probably going to be moved because of cap reasons this offseason make me racist against Russians? No. It means he has a higher cap hit and is a good, moveable player, just like Dumba, just like Greenway, and just like Fiala. I'd love to keep all of those guys but the reality is we have $13M in dead money next year and we can't keep everyone. Nobody here is being racist, if Greenway and Dumba being in trade rumors makes you butt hurt, then buckle up.

And for the record, I don't think Greenway will be moved. But if Guerin is offered Protas and a 2nd by the Caps then I think you have to take that trade. You get younger, keep your size, shed some cap, and get a 2nd round pick in the process. Guerin has said so many times that he's willing to make a trade if he feels it makes the team better. This Caps trade does.

Greenway isn't in trade rumors. It's a bunch of bs to sat he's. Wild fans are the one trying to trade him, well some. So stop saying he's in trade rumors because that is only wild fans. Bs
