Sure why not

1-0 of implementing krakowtiz's idea above, date TBD

I like the idea but I think we should draft a more formal list of things to vote on/create more categories before we vote on anything. But definitely include Krakowitzs ideas in there as well.

If you guys want a more thorough draft of it, I have some time tonight to make one, I can get it to you guys either tonight or tomorrow. But I also understand if the BOG wants to make it themselves

I say we do a general, best GM award, everyone is on the nomination ballot for that one. Then krakowtizs ideas: Best All-In team, Brightest Future team, and Biggest Real-Life Improvement, team. You would choose one of these categories that you feel you fall into, and then we'd vote. And I'd like it GMs to post who they are voting for, as opposed to having a poll. That why you don't know who voted for who, ppl could vote for themselves, etc. Just using this format

GM DavisBooth7, Pittsburgh Penguins

Selection For GM Of The Game: John Doe, Seattle Seahawks

Thoughts?

We should also have most sustainable team. Team that are contenders now and have a great farm system which will help them for many years to come.

BOG, we have received an infraction report. Please scroll down and take a look at it. MatthewsMarnerNylander has not received any infractions to date. This infraction would place him on Level 1 of the Infraction system.

I will abstain from voting for now as I want to see what the rest of you think about this before voting. Please make sure to read this and vote fellow BOG's

After this comment, I move that he be placed on Stage 2:

Kreider is a 26 year old power forward who could easily score 30 goals next year. This year he scored more goals than John Tavares, Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn, Blake Wheeler and Jack Eichel to name a few. That is a very valuable player.

You know who else could easily score 30 goals next year? John Tavares, Tyler Seguin, Jamie Benn, Blake Wheeler and Jack Eichel. Kreider sure as hell won't justify me moving Pettersson alone, plus Hyman and Roslovic. Don't waste my time with BS offers

Not sure why the Simmonds deal would be illegal...Voracek was traded multiple times before being reaquired and was not an expansion pick or had anything to do with an expansion trade.

Its the same reason the Matt Read trade got reverted...you cannot acquire a player that was previously on your team that is being retained. Meaning, you cannot get a player back into your possession with retain salary coming back to you. It's part of the cap circumvention rules

It doesn't matter from what I've been told. In no way can you get them back w retained salary. I thought the same thing. I thought as long as the team u traded them to didn't trade then back to you it was ok, but I was wrong.

The way I read the CBa is that if you retain on a player you can not reaquite that player for a year. The Flyers did not retain salary ever on Voracek. So the way I see it is that it is a legal deal.

Just put it on hold. I'm pretty sure it's not, but Rico seems to be the best one to ask

You know, making rules up as we go is probably not the best way to do things. But hey, I will leave it up to you guys.

I would also like to point out that a BOG member has retained salty on 4 players.

Which member would that be? Keep in mind it may be due to a IRL buyout that the CF AGM team automatically has
