can I get a ruling on the draft thread? I believe that we were told that we don't have preferences for past the 1st round, yet jmac made the ARI pick based off of a team description.

its irrelevant whether I wanted that player. its the fact that, should this stand, then every GM can do that, which is ridiculous.

If people put that in their descriptions, it sends out a notice to every other GM that those players may hold something special. So there is a risk involved in doing something like that. So because of that, I don't see anything wrong with doing that

I can't give you a ruling, but I told you the same thing as everyone else. Having a preference list doesn't mean it is going to be used and is at your own risk. They took the risk and someone happened to make the pick they preferred. I wouldn't have checked Arizona's team thread and only did so for Dallas because I happened to recall them mentioning not being able to make their pick.

Nobody picking after them should expect a certain player to be available on their turn, regardless of how that player was selected anyway.

If a GM is either posting a BPA player list in their thread or entrusting a BOG member to make a selection for them, that's an inherent risk that is taken. I'm fine with letting people do small BPA lists, but it would be much easier if people can email or dm picks preferences between GMs.
