Detroit passes, And Lambert isn't a top 5 pick he's basically in the 12-18 overall range by most mocks.

For a while it didn't seem like Brodeaur was ever going to get old

I’d take Lambert in top-8 maybe top-4
Wright, Cooley, Nemec are clear 1-2-3.
Slafkovsky, Lambert, Nazar, Savoie among next grouping.

He is probably still the best goalie in NJ

Lambert is essentially tier 4 which is 8th overall and higher in this draft.

I didn’t get to watch much of it.
Devils usually hold their own against Carolina.
But young team. They haven’t protected leads well.

I disagree.
And few teams draft lists will match “mock draft consensus”.

I think I like Jiricek more than Nemec. Scouch has me convinced.

Gillies actually kept us in the game surprisingly. His best performance of the year
Devils choked like usual. Ruff has to go

Nemec can skate
Jiricek cannot

For what Devils are building around Jack, Nico, Bratt etc…I believe skating should be a premium. Which is why I like guys like Nemec, Chesley in defense. And Lambert, Nazar for forwards.

I wouldn't give up that much for Smith. With the prospects Detroit has coming up.

Yeah he's not better than Edvinsson, And i don't think he's better then Johansson or Wallinder either.

Only 4 of his points were on the pp but 9 of his assists are secondary.

I'm definitely not impressed with his first two seasons, that's for sure.

Yeah that’s my one area where I’m iffy but for basically everything else I like Jiricek. EP and Scouch agree with me too. Can’t go wrong, but Jiricek is my personal defenseman of choice if we could pick either.
