Initial Creation Date: Apr. 25, 2022

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Genuinely curious as to what Foote would cost
Tankathon picks
#9 Frank Nazar (my favourite prospect)
#16 Denton Mateychuk (left handed but arguably one of best dmen in class)
As much as I love peterka, I cant decide if one more year in the ahl would hurt him, definitely some work on the defensive side of his game is needed

None of those UFAs are taking 2 year deals, Try closer to 4-5 years especially Nuke and Husso.

for a 1ST and 3rd round pick... Like i said i was curious, but clearly it would take cozens krebs and an unprotected 2023 first to pry the 6th best defencemen on the bolts away so go ahead and keep him

Doubtful money matters, They will want both job security and money.

I just don't see them being Able with their salary cap constraints to trade him didn't say the value isn't there but his play price and QO cost make him almost indispensable

Los Angeles has exactly two NHL-qualified LDs, so the Kings won't be trading Bjornfot. We would, however, entertain an exchange of RD Helge Grans for LD Ryan Johnson.

Why would a goalie coming off his 950k a year not care about money, take a 2 year 8 mil and then sign a 5 year 6 mil, make way more money in the end

I guess the sabres could just offer sheet him next offseason for just under 4 mil and give up a 2nd round pick, lightning wont be able to match that and its less to give up

No one is giving a 27 year old Goalie with only 56 NHL career starts to their name, $8,000,000 x 2 years not remotely. He'll probably get like Nedeljkovic $3,000,000 x 2 years.

man the sabres literally need to spend 20 million to hit the cap floor and none of there major deals will be up for 2 more years, could give him 10 for all i care as long as it is for 2 year max

Husso will get tons of suitors and teams far better than Buffalo will come calling. I guess for him to sign with Buffalo they would need to grossly overpay him.

You've gotten extra salty since Buffalo passed Detroit in the standings

I think that seems like a more reasonable deal. Bjornfot would be a waste on Buffalo -- third pair LD with no room to move up the lineup. Recipe for discontent. Better off keeping Bryson at LD and getting Grans, who could push Jokiharju for top-4 minutes in a year or two.

For that matter, it eliminates the need for the other trade. You're going to be much happier with Mitts next year. Just a little more patience, please.

Yes I know, I had made the team And mitts was 3 c and quinn was in the minors so I wasnt sure what to do aside from not signing one of the forwards

I agree, I guess you just have to make a choice between one of the 2 ufa signings to not go out and get if you are keeping mitts and move krebs to cozens wing.

So aside from the trades- sell me on frank nazar. I want Lambert or lekkermaki (sp?). Sell me on the undersized winger over the great skating center, and the guy that (is listed anyways) plays center and rw.
