he did ok filling in for Chabot ( 17 games ; 0 goals - 6 assists + 5 ) but did he not convince me he can move into a top4 role any time soon. Problem is his trade value is low right now , the Hawks may be a team that could be good for him. Your top 4 are solid pending Sanderson showing he is NHLready.

If Winnipeg can add a top RD in a different trade, I can see this happening. But this for sure wont happen without one

I know but Schmidt and Dillon won’t get assets back that could help this team to younger and extend their window. I think you have to trade a couple of core players like Scheifele and Pionk. Pick up high quality youngsters and build around Dubois, Connor, Ehlers, Perfetti, Morrissey , Samberg , etc

Yep. They nailed it last night: Unless Sanderson struggles there's no spot for Brännström.
His offensive side isn't showing enough point production to make up for what he lacks defending in our own end.
The issue is that, while Hamonic, Zaitsev and Del Zotto might all clear waivers (Zaitsev for sure) Brannstrom would absolutely not.
And if DJ is still the coach he ain't scratching the old guys to keep Thomson in the line up no matter how good he looks.
