Trades
1.
WPG
  1. Chychrun, Jakob
  2. Schmaltz, Nick
Additional Details:
I doubt this trade ever happens because I don’t see the need on Arizona’s side since they are in a rebuild however I think this package for the Jets sums up what they would want in a Scheif deal (a top d man on the right side and a decent centreman to slot in 2C). We will see what happens but If I was Chevy I would not rush to make a deal. Yes, I think it is more likely Scheif gets dealt in the offf season but I think Chevy needs to get a great return or else the trade doenst make sense.
ARI
  1. Eyssimont, Michael
  2. Heinola, Ville
  3. Scheifele, Mark
  4. 2022 2nd round pick (STL)
  5. 2022 2nd round pick (NYR)
Additional Details:
Scenario two of the Jets possible off-season series sees the Jets trading Mark Scheifele. Out of both scenarios, I actually find myself leaning towards Scheif being traded this off-season. I think there may be a mutual appetite for change for both the team and him and I think this trade fulfills that. When I look at trading Mark I actually feel really bad for Chevy because I don’t know what players he would be looking to get. Obviously as a Jets fan I know what I want, a top defencemen to play on the right side with Morrissey and then a centreman who can slot in the 2c position. On paper it sounds simple but when you try and find that on the market it is nearly impossible to find a fit of both centre and top d in the same trade. I circle to Arizona because Chychrun is outstanding and would fit great with Morrissey and Schmaltz is also pretty underrated as well.
2.
WPG
  1. 2022 3rd round pick (DET)
Additional Details:
Same trade as last off season scenario. In my eyes, I see Schmidt getting dealt no matter what. I love the guy but the defense issue and the cap is too much on the Jets hands at this point.
3.
WPG
  1. 2022 2nd round pick (NSH)
Additional Details:
Once again, same trade as last scenario. I see Seattle is a very good fit.
4.
WPG
  1. 2022 3rd round pick (DAL)
Additional Details:
Vesalainen is once again dealt. Change of scenery is needed.

Far too much for Winnipeg to give to Arizona for an unneeded second pairing LD. The Jets should not move their best trade chip to clog up LD even more.

That deal makes zero sense for Arizona.

Soderstrom from the right side would be the ask from Arizona, only way scheifele works to Arizona would be a retained, and moved again. Arizona ask will always be firsts over anything else. Need a 3rd team to make this idea work. Don’t mind the idea, but probably need a 1st involved for Arizona on both sides of getting scheifele and retaining on him.

Yeah, no chance that Arizona takes that. They would be giving up 2 of their most valuable pieces and for what? 2 2nd rounders, Heinola, and a prospect that nobody outside of the Jets fanbase has heard of, and whatever they get in return for flipping Sheifele with retention. Not having a first rounder in the trade is a joke, since Arizona is collecting picks right now. Chevy will just have to make do with what he gets, since it will be nearly impossible to get a 2C and a top pairing RHD in one go for Sheifele. While Arizona has those available, I highly doubt that Chychrun, and especially Shmaltz get dealt.

Arizona would never accept that deal, And fat chance of Mark Scheifele waiving for a dumpster fire of a team in Arizona.
