In what way is he not? He fills the top 6 rw on a good contract. He's also one of few players to be 50+ pts with almost zero PP time.

Tell me you don't understand trade value by telling me 'you don't'

It's also next year and Sens will be improved.

Normally i think deals with two first round picks involved aren’t realistic. I think this one actually is.

FYI, if you use the quote function, the poster above will get a notification and be able to respond to you.

Thanks. Missed that. I see them provide more insight than that typically so I was curious why from the sens with other long term deals soon to be signed that it seemed like good time time to add for the sens.

I think Boston could be a fit for JT. Bergeron could push for another year and then JT could slide into the center with the likes of Lysell soon to make the jump.

The Canucks shouldn’t do the Boston trade. Foligno is worthless to us and is not cheap. The two first round picks are going to be late picks and won’t help us for at least 3-5 years. We are getting less than what Brandon Hagel got. Miller just got 99 points and was on pace for 100. We should at least be getting a known quantity in a top prospect

Juice there it is! I think Hagel's deal is much more valuable to TB but it's not as if Chicago made out with good prospects. They also gave away picks. This is almost a total gut job. Sure they are late picks but with the cap space, Canucks could try to turn things around quickly (2-3 years) and package that 2024 pick.

Is it because of how high that pick might end up being? Because if that pick is top 10 protected, then that 1st is an underpayment

hagels trade though will have little to no effect on the market everyone knows tampa severely overpayed. especially with how hagel has performed in tampa since being traded teams will be more hesitant about doing those types of deals.

another thing miller is a very good player but a lot of his points came from powerplay, and he averaged a lot of PP minutes, he might not get that opportunity in boston as our PP has good chem and even though he may be better then hall, hall and pasta have very good chemistry and cassidy may be hesitant about breaking that up on the PP, he will definitely get 1C minutes with pasta and hall as his wingers but i think B's powerplay is set till bergy retires. either way still very high on wanting to acquire miller!

only untouchables for me are pasta, mcavoy, marchand, carlo, bergy, lysell, swayman, lindholm.
would prefer not to move 2 back to back 1sts, id consider maybe like the 23 and 25 1sts

No need for the Canes to make that trade. Horvat is nice, but the lack of cap space and lack of space for other C is what would kill this trade.

He wouldn't be my top choice, but he would be a great back up plan. No Fiala, Giroux, DeBrincat etc, but he would be a big improvement to the 2nd line next year.

I don’t think the Canucks would make this many moves - it was always trade 1-2 of Miller, Garland, Boeser, and Horvat. They wouldn’t want to sell everyone off. Plus the Myers deal is a no-go from Dallas and Vegas says no I think
