The gap between Kerfoot and Glendening is going to be higher than a 3rd

Wasn’t sure. I’ve seen him moved for a second round pick several times on this site. I figured an affordable veteran depth player might drop it to a third. Changed it to a second

Yeah that’s probably more realistic. A mid 2nd + depth piece is fair value for him, and I could see Toronto potentially taking that (if it’s the highest offer of course). I’m not sure if they really need Glendening for next year but never hurts to take him

Glendening has negative value, he's awful and even if he wasnt he's not a need or even a nice to have for the leafs, taking him would be a cap dump.
So a cap dump to a team that cant really take cap dumps and getting kerfoot is gonna cost dallas a lot

I like Glendening. He does what he does well. But we already have Faksa. I’d lean towards keeping the cheaper player in Glendening but if we can find an affordable Klinger replacement I’d be looking to see if we could swap Glendening out for a scoring forward

Bourque for Lundkvist makes sense positionally for both teams.

He only makes 1.5 million. Lol. If it’s an issue we can just give the second round pick and ship him elsewhere

I wouldn’t be thrilled about giving up Bourque but like you said it makes sense for both teams. Kinda what I had in mind when I posted this

1.5 mill to a team close to the cap is still a cap dump if the player is of no use to them and doesnt make them better even if he isnt as bad as Glendening is.
A 2nd is probably a little light for a guy like kerfoot for what good middle 6 guys who can play c and w go for but it's not horrible

I'm not stoked to giving up Lundkvist trust me lol. But you guys are loaded at C and we have a ton of RHD. It makes a lot of sense. Both undersized high IQ guys, both former late 1st rounders, etc.

Lundkvist is great but there's no room for him with Fox Trouba and Schneider on the right side. I'd happily trade him for Pavelski next deadline.

Lunkdvist would be moved for a young center prospect. Likely the rangers would need to add for certain quality centers, but thats the rangers need. Wyatt Johnston would probably be the best trade. He had a fantastic d+1 season, so the rangers would have to add, maybe a 2nd or something of that nature to balance it out.

    Johnston is a no go
