The Ranger deal isn't close for Scheifele. It's missing a starting piece and Chytil has close to no value

Rangers traded for Copp and plan to sign him, so they have zero interest in Scheifele. They would have gone after him at TDL if they wanted him.

Copp resigned makes more sense and costs nothing but cap space, pass on the Schiefele trade.

Othman put up 40 this year in the ohl. he absolutely is enough to start trade talks.

For a lesser player maybe, but for Scheifele as an unneeded left shot winger, Othmann absolutely isn't close. It starts with Schneider and adds from there.

Either way there is no reason for the rangers to trade for Scheifele. They can resign copp or strome without giving up any assets

I’m hoping it’s Copp personally. A year younger and in my opinion a better two way player.
