No way I am doing that
- 7th OA pick in the upcoming draft
- Ridly Greig who is a top NHL prospect, not just a top Sens prospect. I wouldn't trade him but even if I did, I wouldn't trade him for anything less than a top-15 pick
- TWO 2nd round picks
- Erik Brannstrom still worth more than people think. Continuing progression, was only 22 y/o this season and had several games where he was pretty damn good.
- Philippe Daoust is a sleeper darkhorse prospect, since he doesn't add much value/if any here, you don't trade that kind of prospect like that
- Don't trade Zaitsev like that. You end up giving more value as a result. Ottawa will have well enough cap space to deal with Zaitsev's last 2 seasons. Worst case scenario : bury him in the AHL or even buy him out. What would I do with him? AHL when everyone is healthy and have him as the 7th guy or play him 3rd pairing when there's injuries on defense.
2 HIGH first round picks, 2 second round picks, Brannstrom and Daoust? No.
Counter :
- 2022 1st round pick (OTT) (7th OA)
- 2022 2nd round pick (TBL)
- Brännström, Erik
- Gustavsson, Filip
- Choice between Roby Jarventie, Egor Sokolov, Lassi Thomson or Jacob Bernard-Docker
I basically changed Greig for a lesser prospect (but still very good) and a 2nd for Gustavsson. Removed Zaitsev and Daoust so value overall is pretty close to the proposal
