No thanks for Canucks. I’d be disappointed with that return as a fan. If we don’t get a young RHD to play with Hughes in a Boeser trade than I wouldn’t want to trade him. And I feel like that’s a pretty weak return for him. He had a down year but he’s still a great goal scorer when he’s on his game.

Slafkovsky will not be available at 5, unless a miracle happens.

It's not /that/ far fetched.

Two Centers, two RHD. Winger falls to 5.

Canucks probably have to add Q Hughes and E Pettersson to make it fair

Canucks aren’t trading Boeser for that. It doesn’t fill their needs

I'll put it this way, then let me know.

Wright is going #1 regardless.
If Arizona stays at 2, they draft Cooley, I don't see them drafting anyone else at 2.
Seattle at 3, I think they take Nemec/Jiricek whoever they value more. A right shot d man usually triumphs a winger, almost everytime.
Philly at 4, I don't see them going with a winger if one of Jiricek/Nemec/Savoie is available.
That brings NJ, we need top line potential wingers to play with Hughes and Hischier, thats where we grab Slafkovsky.

Plus, I think the players are tiered like this:

Wright

Cooley, Nemec, Slafkovsky,

Jiricek, Savoie, Kemell

And most GM's go with positional need, not best player available.

#5 though....not that far of a stretch if top-3 are baked in.

I'd guess Wright, Cooley, Nemec go top-3 in almost any order scenario
Savoie or Jiricek at #4
That leaves Slafkovsky, Lambert, Kemell, Lekkerimaki, Nazar, etc...should be plenty of wingers left between 5-7.

I would go with something like:

Tier I: Wright, Cooley, Nemec
Tier II: Slafkovksy, Savoie, Lambert
Tier III: Kemell, Jiricek, Chesley, Lekkerimaki, Gauthier, Nazar
Tier IV: Ostlund, Pickering, Howard, Kasper, Mateychuk, Mintyukov, Yurov, McGroarty, Korchinski, Mesar, Miroshnichenko

Picking #5 seems easier to me that say #9-10...

I don't know, I feel Wright is his own tier.

For those Nucks fans that don't think it is a good deal and they want more for Boeser, what are views on what Nucks move at all to make changes? Do you think other teams actually have cap room and assets and interest/need to get Boeser?

I am not sold on Wright's offense.
And I am not sold on CHL's recent track record of developing top forwards.

We have only seen him play in one tournament and against 7 other junior opponents in last two years.
