Description

I would love those trades for EK65 and Lebanc. Arz may lose a top Dman and Simek is a relative cheap option, they need the floor. I still say Hill to Buff is an upgrade for them, he's fairly cheap and is on an expiring contract, if they don't want to resign him. R.Smith is an upgrade at 2L RW, he was on pace for 20-25 goals and it bides time until Coe or Ozzy are ready.

The Sharks would not retain $2.5m/yr for the rest of EK65s contract for a 4th round pick. EK65 also would not waive his NMC to go to Winnipeg.

Also, your dream scenario is about the worst possible outcome for the team. EK in 50 game +2.7 wins, Burns in 82 game +2.1 wins. EK65 has been averaging 70+ games over the last three seasons and would have this year if the team didnt direct him to stay off the ice in prep for next year.

Labanc is also a legit top 6 F at 5v5 who has suffered in his point totals because he's been the victim of terrible coaching. He drives play well.

absolutely not. He isn't an NHL defenseman by any means. He doesn't produce on the ice and the analytics have him so low he doesn't even register on most graphics. but he has gritensity, so the Sharks idiot head coach will use him. The only way to prevent that is to not give Duhboughner the opportunity.
