That's interesting for the Leafs. They probably don't do it, but you never know

Nylander had 20 more points this previous season than Anderson has had over the past 3 seasons.

Nylander had almost half of Anderson’s career points in one season.

In 51 more career games, Nylander has 172 more career points than Anderson. That’s just above double Anderson’s career total (171).

In no way does this make sense for the Leafs.

Anderson had as many playoff wins in his previous season than Nylander has in his entire career

In 4 LESS games, Nylander has 16 MORE points in the playoffs than Anderson.

Nylander had more playoff points in the last two years than Anderson does in his career.

Nylander’s value is farther than clear of Anderson’s. Anderson is about as bad a cap dump as Jeff Skinner.

Habs don't do it
Take out Allen and the 1st and it's more fair

Habs don't trade 33rd overall for Erik Brannstrom

No point

I wouldn't do that

Brannstrom 22 y/o, 27 pts in his last 83 games since last season when he was 21 y/o...

Plays on a rebuilding team, didn't have a stable partner and played many games with Josh freaking Brown...

It's the 33rd overall pick and it's the very first pick to kick off Day 2 for the upcoming draft.

And Ottawa is getting an immediate replacement for Brannstrom.

My benchmark for accepting any trade for Brannstrom is what Carolina got for Jake Bean.

https://www.capfriendly.com/trades/players/jake-bean

This trade exceeds that benchmark.

We need to accept.

I admit that "first pick to kick off Day 2" gets me interested... I mean, you have several hours to sit back and reflect on who is still available. Good opportunity to get a steal.
