I still don't think LAK take on Muzzin. Sure they get a good RD prospect out of it, but that's two years of Muzzin at 5.5 that could probably be spent in other areas. This isn't even taking into consideration his NTC, which no one on this site appears to think about.

The ARZ doesn't make much sense for ARZ. I'm sure they'd rather a younger player with high quality draft picks instead of Nylander as a return for Chychrun. Doubt they send a 2nd round pick back as well.

Maybe that's enough for Miller now that he only has one year left. I don't know though, someone else may be able to beat that offer.

Can't see CBJ offloading picks for two pending UFAs.

Muzzin with retained salary and Topi Niemela for a rental middle 6er + 4th liner in Grundstrom. Nice. Moore is very solid but he just wouldn’t get a top 6 role here, and that’s an insane amount to pay for a rental 3rd liner considering Kerfoot plays a similar role just less physical

These Nylander-Chychrun trades that have been on here make very little sense to me. Don't get me wrong, Nylander is an excellent player, but if you were guaranteed to be a bottom 5 team next year with or without Nylander, would you:
A) Trade Chychrun for the pick/prospect haul that he should command, giving you a whole bunch of team control over future players
Or,
B) Trade Chychrun for Nylander, who is under contract for 2 years before he walks as a UFA?

Sure, with B, you could always flip Nylander down the road, but why not just skip that step? There's about a 0% chance that Nylander's value is going to improve playing down there, especially as the contract gets closer to the end, which ends up just being extremely poor asset management on Arizona's part. Any combination of a decline in offence, an injury, poor usage, etc. turns this gamble into a huge L.

Absolutely no interest in installing Jake Muzzin 2.0 even if he would waive his NTC, plus we could re-sign Alex Edler for less than Jake's cap hit, and we would probably get the same results without having to expend assets to re-acquire Muzz. Moreover, even if we wanted him back, Moore is worth more than Muzzin due to age and contract factors, and as good a prospect as Niemela is, with Clarke, Faber and Grans behind Roy, Durzi and Spence on the RD depth chart, he just isn't a valuable addition for us, so the entire trade is off even before factoring in Grundstrom's return.

Columbus might consider a 4th for Holl, but they aren’t giving up a 2nd for Kerfoot, they have too many depth forwards already.

Columbus has no room or need for Kerfoot. The only forward they would be interested in trading for is Matthews.
