Prefer it to be 2022 1st and 2023 3rd but Blues say yes

Zero chance of Rick Zito trading MacKenzie Weegar, the ones that are most like out the door are Patric Hornqvist, Rakos Gudas and Brandon Montour to open up some cap space.

I feel like a lot of teams would do that Weegar deal in a heartbeat

Hornqvist is definitely gone and i could see Gudas being traded but his value isn’t much of anything

Montour has 2 years left at a very reasonable price compared to weegar who has 1 year left and will want a big raise, he also has the most value and would get us a top pick back after we traded both our 1sts already

His multiple crucial mistakes this playoff have cost us severely

Blues accept that. Doubt it would ever be offered though.

Blues take that in a second, would be a massive mistake for fla to trade weegar. Hornqvist likely takes a 2nd to clear

Weegar has been terrible in the playoffs and cost us multiple games for the 2nd straight year, Hornqvist isn’t a negative asset in my opinion

Hornqvist isnt awful but he is a must out for florida and the other 31 gms know it. Weegar is a 97th percenile WAR defenseman over the last 3 seasons and towards the top of the league in terms of quality of competition. Forsling - weegar had a 65% xgoal share which is fantastic. I do have to say Weegar - ekblad pair has not been good but chairot - ekblad isn’t good either so ekblad maybe more of the issue if weegar's pair is 22% more productive this postseason with forsling than ekblad (43% xgoal share)
