Winnipeg laugh at that offer for Connor Hellebuyck, You're not even close there.

Kubalik would be a great fit in the Leafs middle six imo. He's physical and aggressive in all zones - not really a great play driver, but he would produce really well next to guys like Matthews, Marner, Nylander, JT, etc. and add some of that grit that the Leafs are trying to get just the right amount of.

Problem is, his QO is $4 million for next season, so the number here probably isn't going to work unless he isn't qualified (possible, but hopefully unlikely). I wonder if some kind of deal structured w/ Kubalik for Mrazek and Holl could make sense? Obviously the Hawks would need a sweetener, but I think here the Leafs have a chance to really make an upgrade, while also shedding cap space.

A middle first, because you will still lose in the first round, for one of the top 3 goalies IMO in the league???

It would start with a 1st, top prospect, and a young roster player... for example, 2023 1st, Knies/Niemela, Nylander/Liljegren, and that still probably won't work.

Obviously the only team that finds these options interesting is Toronto. None of the other teams would be interested in getting ripped off.

Toronto doesn’t have the pieces to land Helly, simple as that. We need T6 C and T4 RHD as well as starter goalie and/or blue chip goalie prospect. Toronto has none of those that would fit what they want to give up and what we need.
Terrible trading partners

CHI doesn't have interest. We could get that return minimum without taking Mrazek.

Things like QO Leaf fans dont worry about. The chance ot play for keefe i'm sure he'll take a 60% haricut to do that

Kubailik, Marchessault, Hellebuyck for Kerfoot, a bunch of cap dumps and rejects and 2 low first. totally can happen

It’s funny how all the worst mock trades I’ve ever seen are made by leaf fans lol. Let’s just simplify it like this. If the leafs had Hellebuyck on their team and u were offered that package would u accept it?? Didn’t think so
