San Jose rejects can’t see them taking on two bad contracts for one and a second

Benn is worse and more expensive than Burns and has a more restrictive contract clause. So Burns is worth more than him in the first place.

And Khudobin is a pure 3.3 million dollar cap dump.

No clue how SJ is the one adding a pick here.

Burns deal has yet to be a bad contract. yes he made 8 mil last year but he also was top 12 in points for D men. and the last 3 years of his deal are 24 min cap but only 16.5 actual dollars.
so the sharks are taking back way mor cap and actuall dollars and giving up a 2nd. the 2nd being given up here should be from Dallas TBH

Yeah I’d agree with that. I think how it still has some term and his age makes it a scary contract, not necessarily a bad one

I see Burns having positive value til the end of his deal and would be more than fine with him staying in teal for that time. Burns is not a bad contract, Karlsson is a bad contract and if we're ever taking Benn, Dallas is taking Erik back.

but if you ever looked into him hes and absolute beast in the gym and fitness. the guy runs miles in Texas heat with 50 pound on his back and also no major injuries or surgeries so he still hasn't slowed down much if any. the guy legit could play to 45 if he wants to. hes in better shape than guys 10 year younger.

if we trade karlsson it would be for Seguin not Benn, and we would have to retain on Karlsson so its even money.
but I'm not opposed to that, actually prefer it over Benn mainly because we need a top 6 RW over another LW/C

You forgot about Seguin, the worst contract of them all!

If the bruins were going to take a 2nd and 3rd for debrusk, the trade would have been made 5 months ago.

The Benn deal is a non-starter for San Jose... but I'm curious as to why Dallas takes Bishop off LTIR and ships him to Arizona? Seems detrimental to me.
