Holl is not an upgrade over any Marino, Ruhwedl, or Freidman. Pens reject.

That's a good package to dump Mrazek and his awful contract, and you could probably get away with making it a second-round draft pick in 2022 or 2023 if only you had one. But the Ducks goalie you'd be getting for it is Anthony Stolarz, not John Gibson. To put it another way, if five years of John Gibson is only worth that garbage, why would you want him? Just sign Campbell for something in the $5 to $5.5 million range.

That Gibson trade offer would be insulting to Verbeek, not enough for him to want to trade him let alone retain 1m for 6 years

The Muzzin trade does not make sense for Chi, and I doubt he waives for them

Alexander is probably someone they might not even tender and a 4th isn't much. Holl is only a 2m rental in worst case he walks in FA next year or gets moved at the deadline for a 4th by the Pens. He had good demand last year on the market, so if the Pens were one of those teams thrley might make this low risk trade. The Pens trade might be the only one that actually does get accepted.

Holl is not better than any of the players I listed. I would be surprised if Nylander is non-tendered by Pittsburgh.

Nope I disagree, worst case scenario is they have to pay 2 million to a #8 dman

They probably will tender him because they have nothing to lose in doing. He did have a good year in the AHL,l but that's nothing new. They might hope he finally breaks out.

As for Holl not being better than any of those guys, that might be true but there was a time when Holl had a market and was considered a top 4 (they should have sold high). Someone might still think highly of him and "buy low". There are always trades abysmal trades that happen. The question is whether or not management wants him and not the fans. I wouldn't be surprised if Holl was traded for a 4th or a 2nd or kept on the Leafs

Did Mrazek win the Vezina in the multiverse and I missed it?
