Swayman was basically league average, but he is young. And you're not moving anything of really significant value in the deal (maybe UPL if you like the upside).

I don't think the Bruins will move him cause hes young but it's a pretty good offer imo.

Swayman is there though. Couldn’t be a harder pass from boston.

Ullmark was better and you get an extra 1st to kick start the rebuild

last year, his underlying numbers were league avg. Idc about sv% its not 2006. A team could play great in front of a goaltender inflating his save % when he himself isn't all that great. Thats why nobody really uses it to evaluate goaltending anymore. Otherwise strong goaltenders on bad teams would be seriously undervalued or vice versa. Well, bad teams still do this.

Swayman was better. Considerably. Ullmark got hot for a little stretch at the end of the season, but swayman was the #1.

Right right right. The percentage of shots a goalie saves isn’t important. Good to know. You have yourself an A+ day.

If a goalie has 920 sv% because the team in front of him is limiting the number of dangerous chances he faces to well below league average each night, would you not say those stats are inflated? Conversely, If a goalie has a 910 sv% but the team in front of him is terrible defensively and gives up way more than the average in terms of quality chances, would you not say that goalie is probably better than what his numbers say?

Seriously asking.

Stop trading Mitts for everything and anything that pops up in your head. I’m not trading that much for a goalie.

What even is the Chicago trade?

I'll do whatever i want. Mitts is an also ran, best to explore options that helps fill holes. Are you keenly attached to anything in particular in the Chicago deal? Regula is 21, and a smooth skating 6'4 dman, id like to take a shot at him

Well, it’s just overly predictable because you have some sort of hatred for Mitts

Not really a hatred but they have better options, no reason to kill his career and staple him to the 4th line when they have needs to address
