M NTC Hornquist says no. Seattle say no. Imagine Ducks say no. Arizona say no. Price and the doctors probably say no to LTIR

No sane GM is giving up a 3rd for Weber, he's basically worth a 5th round pick for a team needing the cap hit to reach the cap floor.

Anaheim passes and it's not even close.

Florida can't afford 3 years of Jeff Petry making $6,250,000. Huberdeau needs a new contract next summer.

Jonathan Drouin has negative value, Either retain $2,750,000 or add sweeteners to move him.

For that long, I believe romy would like at least 4,5m

Terrible contract for husso. Really, he should only get 4m, but a team will bite and give him 5m. But certainly not for 5 years! 2 years max, he's a 1 year wonder, and this years playoffs have proved that. I rather acquire a younger goalie like samsonov or vanecek anyway, I'd even take a chance on Lankinen for cheap

Juraj is not going 1st. Shane Wright. People are so dumb, they want a superstar for the Habs, when the habs finally have a chance to get one, they say no, and get some power forward instead. Just NO.

Weber gets 2nd + 4th

I like that trade actually, for comtois. He would fit perfectly next to nick and Cole, not Juraj

Interesting Florida proposal, something to think about obviously, just habs don't need another centre. Already have Zuki/ Shane/ Dvo / Jake/ Ryan. Rather just trade Petry for future assessts tbh

Habs reject oast trade. Doruin has more value than that, 21 points in 34 games this past year, canscore 55 points a year when healthy, let him increase his value and his point totals, then trade him for future assets. I believe we can get 2nd + 2nd round value prospect at the deadline, no point in acquiring a depth defenseman for Drouin.

There is no way Anaheim makes this trade — not sure they make it without Comtois

This rumour that the habs would be picking Slafkovsky over Wright was started by Grant McCagg a former scout who's trying to get " back in the game" by shooting a hail mary and hoping to come back with an "I told you so".

There is absoloutely NO WAY that the habs don't pick Wright. Its' been the organizations biggest need for decades and now that they have a chance to pick one 1st overall they wont????

I like the out of the box thinking with the first pick. But with the draft in Montreal I still think they pick Wright.

Jordan Harris could have waited a month and signed with any team in the NHL as a free agent. Instead, he signed with Montreal. In that light, it would be terrible optics for the Canadiens to trade him. Besides, I recall being told that there's a familial relationship there.
