sharks decline, Gregor was playing better and better as the season went on and had legit chemestry with Bordeleau. why trade him for a guy who will cost almost 3 times as much for what could easily be a weaker output.

Not unreasonable, just thought they might want to take the shot at buying low on a more proven NHL option, given their desire to return to contention.

i get it but Why give up on a guy you’ve worked with for years who is just starting to turn into a legit NHLer? besides sharks have 5-6 guys who are exactly like Warren, we don’t need another!

He's under contract so I assumed he'd be coming back, obviously if he retires then this throws everything out of the window.

i get the thinking after the season he had, but with his baggage 1-2 year deals are the best he is going to get from here on out.

For 1 year of kassian you get puljujarve and you wouldn't do that?

Yeah I cannot imagine any NHL team committing to him long-term. If NHL contracts were easily voidable like NFL contracts and had less guaranteed money, I maybe could see it, but with how contracts work in the NHL I think Rob32sjsharks here is correct, which is why I put that in as the deal he signs. The best thing he can do for his career at this point is stay attached to the hip of McDavid or Draisaitl.
    Rob32sjsharks liked this.

Kassian has 2 years left at 3.2 mil AAV. Klefbom has 1 year left at just over 4 mil. And no I'm not trading a 2nd and a 3rd for Pool Party. Why clog up the roster with Kassian for 2 more years? Can Pool party even play without McDavid/Drai/Nuge holding his hand?

at least for 1 more year and score 40+ goals next season keep his mouth shut and i’m sure some GM will be dumb enough to give him a 7x3 or 7x4 deal

Puljujarvi is worth FAR more than that. Edmonton isn't giving away their young players for no reason.

    Yes, very well. Here's proof.

He's among the very best in the league in on-ice impact:

CF% Rel: 4th among all forwards
    FF% Rel: 5th
    SF% Rel: 4th
    GF% Rel: 5th
    xGF% Rel: 3rd
