Leafs Decline on that one, they can sign a backup and they dont need a 3/4 C.

Feels like Sandin might be the odd man out and he deserves to play big minutes. Big thing here is the value, Reimer is a great backup and would be hard to find one like him for 1 mil. Bonino essentially replaces whichever one of Mikheyev/Engvall/Kerfoot leaves and for much cheaper

He ain't leaving, especially for a terrible trade offer like that.

Not enough value for Tor in that trade and they won’t move Sandin for rental pieces.

I wouldn’t give that up for Sandin. Leafs would rather play old man Gio than him. 5 LD and he’s likely the low man on the totem pole.

Whats he worth then? He hasnt proved much in the NHL yet. He's also their 4th LHD on the depth chart

Ferraro likely gets 3+M AAV and somewhere between and 4 and 6yr term.

Thats why he isnt moving. His trade value is lower than his potential right now. I think they will try to move Muzzin to make room. My lines would look like this:

    Rielly - Brodie
    Sandin - New Guy
    Gio - Liljegren

If, and its a big if, the leafs could get a solid RHD, Sandin could play with Brodie. (Sandin - New guy would probably be the 3rd pair. Sandin - Brodie would be the 2nd pair)

if anything muzin is out before sandin. unless you are trading him in a package for a top 6 winger it wont happen.

Hope your new guy can bring the experience and type of style Muzzin does, because our blue line based off of what you provided is going to get WRECKED lol

Muzzin was solid in the playoffs, but this seems revisionist. He was not good at all in the regular season. Rielly - Brodie has proved to work. Gio - Lil has proved to work. Top 4 RHD are hard to find, and i have no clue who it should be, but i do not think they will get wrecked.

    * Lubyushkin should not be in this top 6*

That’s what he’s asking for, doesn’t mean that’s what he gets. He doesn’t bring much offense so anything over $3 mil is iffy
