Tampa doesn't need to save cap space for next year, so it's a no.

You have 19 out of 23 contracts on the roster for next year and are ~$2.0MM over the cap...

Tampa is still competing for Cups. They're not doing that.

Canes pass - can have Bear for picks or prospects but if you want Necas need much more value coming back the other way. Either in the form of a roster upgrade or futures that can be packaged in a separate deal.

I guess find someone to be "injured" and hold them on LTIR until the playoffs.

Attitude was unnecessary btw...

Why would any of these teams do these trades. Tampa Bay will be contending next year

I for one actually like that Tampa trade. A top 4 of Hedman, Cernak, McDonagh, Marino would be insane! If Zucker can find his game, and get consistent, he would be a good guy to get too! They could flip the pick if they want to for more depth. I believe they will have to trade Sergachev anyway in a few years, so mind as well get something good for him, and Marino is just that! You may have to add a bit more, but either than that, I like it.. good job!

Seabrook on LTIR hasn't been accounted for the 2022-23 season yet. We'll have full cap relief from that.

The great myth that Tampa is always in need of cap help prevails.

Heck that doesn't even get Sergachev let alone adding Killorn to the deal.

Tampa declines. This trade actually hurts Tampa's cap situation for next year, as it's a 550k cap add swapping the 2 players for next season. Tampa has nearly 5 million in space to fill 3 spots most likely, so they'll be fine. There is a scenario where Serg and Killorn get moved in order to keep Palat and save some space down tbe line(while adding futures/lower costed roster repacements), but I don't see this trade being it.
