Carlo, lysell, and a first is absurd. Tough to find a comp of a teams top prospect and a first. Impossible when you add a 25 year old top four d man with term. That’s just not a thing that happens.

Boston, because that offer has the player with the most immediate value.
Then Los Angeles, because the first-round pick is so much more valuable than the others.
Then New York, because Schneider is much more likely to have a good career than either of the two Carolina players.

Did you guys even BOTHER to read the Team Explanation, which says, "Vancouver has all these offers on the table, which one do they take, and why? Rank them."?

Incredibly easy PASS from the Rangers, but they counteroffer with Libor Hajek for JT Miller with 50% retention plus 2 years of 1st round picks. More than fair.

I did. I still think that offer is off the planet unrealistic, so i pointed that out. Moving on.

It is an ABSURD premise, so why comment on it? He lives in FANTASYLAND.

He said these offers are on the table (ie been offered and NOT HIS OFFERS). Even if you read it the other way, the Rangers still decline. The Rangers did not offer Chytil, Schneider and the 1st at the trade deadline so why would they now for only one playoff run.

In their defense OP did change the explanation after posting. It was something originally like since all these Miller offers are on the table which do you take and why.

Chytil has emerged as one of our leading Goal scorers during this Playoff run.

Schneider, at age 20, could already pass as a Top 4 Defenseman on most NHL teams (only reason he isn't with the Rangers is due to the incredible depth on the Right). Plus, he's only getting better. Plus, he still has 2 years left on a cheap ELC.

And you want not only one, but both of them, with a 1st Rounder, for a rental that we have no way of resigning?

There is zero chance this trade goes through. For this return, at least.

The focus on the post is about the relative value of the four packages. If you want, assume the target isn't J. T. Miller but six first-round draft picks, if that makes you feel any better. Next time, do your fellow CapFriendly aficionado the courtesy of accepting his premise; feel free to make a side comment on why you think that the premise is silly.

The question isn't whether this trade goes through; it's where the Rangers offer stands in relation to the other three.

So we're all allowed to ignore the point of the post because the OP is bad at drafting Team Explanations? I knew what he wanted was an evaluation of the four respective packages despite the clumsiness. Why am I the only one?

Well, the Rangers wouldn't offer it. So that puts it at the bottom of the pile.

Not sure when you were appointed the rules monitor, but no thanks. Vancouver fans, Habs fans, and Jet fans love to post idiotic Ranger trades over and over, so they get the responses they deserve. When they post something that has any basis in reality, I will be happy to say that as well.

I think it is due to the fact that people replied to his trade offers before he changed his explanation. Once he changed it, the narrative and context of his question changed.

Yes, this was the reason why I said Rangers easily pass. The "Rank them" was not part of the original statement so how would I know to rank them between each other.

So how was my comment not decent or respectful? Sometimes the truth hurts, that's just life.
