Don’t think Boeser gets the 7th overall. Think most the trades are heavy handed towards Vancouver

Vegas isn’t adding a second and Roy. Ferland does absolutely nothing for us. If we are paying a second we aren’t attaching Roy.

Columbus isn't trading for Miller without an extension, and that won't be possible until after the draft.

Why would a rebuilding/retooling team give up 4 picks for 1? Montreal has drafted better in the 2-7 rounds then they have in the 1st round for years.

I could pretty easily see a trade like that interesting hughes. 2017 was the last time the habs drafted 7 or fewer players. They added heinamen smilanec and barron at the deadline. Bodies wise they have a lot of prospects to the point that theres a decent likelyhood that 2 of the 4 pick in the trade may not receive ELCs anyways.

1 guhle level prospect makes more sense for the pool than 3-4 weaker guys

maybe, when you look at it that way. I was just looking at our history of 1st round picks lol

ya if bergevin and timmons were still running the show then i would agree with your first comment lol. But we have a decent pipeline already, mainly defenders, at this point id take quality over quantity and with the 15th pick theres a change at landing a very solid player. I think Hughes would do this if theres a specific player he has in mind.

Ok yeah fair enough lol. I guess this isn't as bad as I originally thought

At least its reasonably. 15th OA for 4 picks (highest of which is 33rd OA from a team with 14 picks in the draft) actually makes sense for Montreal. Its certainly ertainly better than the ones seeing Montreal move two or three 2nd/3rd rounders to move up ten-ish spots.
