I don't think Pittsburgh has any interest in bringing back Tanner Pearson, he was so bad for them last time they traded him for Gudbranson remember?

If Necas could be signed for $3.25M, CAR would simply sign him to that contract.

Also, no chance you’re getting anywhere close to that from CAR for 1 yr of Miller.

Minnesota declines. They aren't trading greenway. Minnesota certainly isn't taking on your cap dump of Jason Dickinson. Big difference between Dickinson and greenway. So Minnesota absolutely say no

I don't see the hesitance from canes fans for Miller, a chance to add a top 10 scorer in the league and then hand him Stall's spot in a year. Hoglander is a 21-year-old 4th in his draft in scoring. Seems like an ok infusion of talent for an offer sheet risk, an unknown whos still years away in Morrow, and a late 1st a year away. You've gotta give to get in this league and in my opinion, Miller gets you a lot closer to getting over the hump with the clearly competitive core that you've got than any young projections you're giving up in these offers

They’re not going to give 30yr old Miller an extension at over $8M for 7-8yrs when they need to re-up Aho, Teravainen, Jarvis, Pesce and Skjei over the next 2 yrs as well. Miller’s next contract will not age well.

Guys like Fiala as an RFA or Forsberg as a UFA seem to be much more in their wheelhouse without having to give the ridiculous asks for players such as Miller.

I’m not convinced the Canes trade Necas. If he wasn’t on the table for 5 yrs of Eichel or Laine with RFA yrs left, why would they trade him for what’s essentially a rental?
Miller to the Canes just isn’t realistic.

No. Greenway combined with Eriksson Ek and foligno with one of the best 3 red lines in the NHL with allowing 6 even strength goals. Was rewarded with 3 years extension. Minnesota won't trade him. Especially not for cap dump

Jackets decline. Nyquist can be half retained for a valuable asset probably a second at the minimum. Myers has negative value

Well, Pittsburgh, Columbus and Minnesota are definitely not interested. That's for sure. You might be able to do something for Miller, but you're going to have to scale it back. This is too much cargo moving around.

Carolina cannot afford to extend Miller, especially since he will be at least in his mid-30s when it ends

A lot of the core has to be resigned in 2 years and Miller's contract would cause big problems

Carolina will only pay for rental Miller which is why Miller will most likely not be a Carolina Hurricane
