How are we going to afford Debrincat's extension after this? Also this team is significantly worse IMO

It's not a particularly bad offer for Cat, but I don't seem the Hawks taking it as I believe they would get offered a higher end prospect with elite upside that is better then Zary in a similar package.

Did you really put Cat at center???

Sens decline hard, Sanderson's ceiling to way higher than this gives value too.

Also if the Sens really wanted Thauchuk, they will just wait one more year as he will likely only sign 1 year now and get him as UFA.

I must say, if we are moving Cat to Flames id want to see Coronato or perhaps Pelletier in any package.

I have to disagree with my fellow CHI fans. I don't think that is enough for Cat. I know Zary was a very exciting prospect two years ago, but I think he has come back down to earth significantly since then. Also, Kuznetsov isn't very interesting and we have waaaay too many left handed defensemen as it is. Plus, I am pretty sure Calgary is going to continue to contend for the foreseeable future, and if that means their first round picks are in a similar draft position to this years, they aren't as valuable as picks we could probably get from other teams. Not saying it's a bad offer or anything, I just think we can get a better return for Cat elsewhere.

Damn, this is the value to get Makar or McDavid or what

Matthew is great but it's much closer if you remove Sanderson

Formenton, Alex : 22 y/o, scored 18 goals at ES/PK in his rookie season, ELITE speed, his game is deep already
Zub, Artem : 26 y/o, solid #3 D-man, RHD (which is even more valuable)
Pinto, Shane : 21 y/o, potential Selke caliber center (means he'll routinely get Selke votes during his prime). Reminds me of a less physical David Backes

I would absolutely hate to give up these 3 guys but would for someone like Tkachuk (but kinda depends if he agrees to sign a similar deal to his brother)
