Would rather move Laughton than frost

Ya know, I havent seen an Atkinson -> OTT post before but its an interest concept.

Too many unnecessary moves here. Sturm and DeSmith are not needed. The Flyers can buy out Lindblom. Terrible idea to move Frost just to rid themselves of JVR. JVR should easily be moved with retention for 1 season for an asset coming back. Atkinson is about as correctly paid as a player can be. The only concern is that he has 3 years left on his deal and can he hold up. He's more valuable than a 3rd and a 4th. The Flyers are confident that Atkinson will play until he is too injured to play and then he will go on LTIR if that is needed. I would suspect that is only a year 3 possibility. Given that knowledge about him teams would give more in a deal for Atkinson.

AGREED. I'd prefer they get something done with a UFA on a 2 year deal. Failing that, this is a good option.

He has slowed down a bit but only 3 years left, could be a solid stop gap
