Team: 2022-23 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 9, 2022
Published: Jun. 9, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Trades
1.
CHI
  1. Smith, Ty
  2. Stillman, Chase
  3. Tatar, Tomas
  4. 2022 1st round pick (NJD)
  5. 2023 2nd round pick (NJD)
Additional Details:
Hawks get a haul of futures (albeit I don't think we are guaranteed a player of Debrincat's caliber) and NJD uses their prospect depth to secure a 2 time 40 goal scorer entering his prime. Assume an extension in the AAV of 9.5 to get done soon after this trade... I wouldn't want you guys to lose him in two years because he scores 50 next to Hughes.
NJD
  1. DeBrincat, Alex
  2. Regula, Alec
  3. 2022 3rd round pick (EDM)
2.
CHI
  1. Georgiev, Alexandar [RFA Rights]
  2. Kravtsov, Vitali [RFA Rights]
  3. Lundkvist, Nils
  4. Nemeth, Patrik
  5. 2023 1st round pick (NYR)
  6. 2024 2nd round pick (NYR)
NYR
  1. Entwistle, Mackenzie
  2. Kane, Patrick ($5,250,000 retained)
  3. 2024 5th round pick (CHI)
Additional Details:
2024 5th will be the "better" of the two Chicago currently owns.

Don't love the cat trade, and would almost prefer Holtz to 2nd overall if we aern't getting something decent in addition to 2nd OA. Hawks get Holtz+ and replace their sniper with another one. Devils can still draft Slafkovski at 2 and get their power forward type. A top 6 of Cat-Hughes-Slaf, Bratt-Hishier-Sarganovich is pretty good. And from the hawks POV I think Holtz is a better prospect than slafkovsky.

How is Murphy doing, had a really bad concussion at the end of the year. Drop the 2nd and 3rd rnd picks. And change 28 to Buffalo's 2nd (41) and Rights to Kisakov

I have no clue how Murphy is doing now, but I think they held him out of the end of last year out of an abundance of caution.

Cooley should be taken at 2. He’s a future 1C

Reading a little more, Murphy had 2 concussions last year, 1 in December and then the one in March. That's concerning.
