    Fair enough haha

I shouldn’t have been so defensive given the fact u didn’t make this ACGM lol. This guy is basically asking for Vasilevsky and Hedman for Draisaitl lol.

Asking for Fox and Igor would be an equally ridiculous offer lmao

I'm objectively looking at the values of these players. Sorokin is great, but has a limited showing so far. Pelech is excellent. but he's no Makar. Draisaitl is a top 5 player in the league.

Makar is the best player on his team. Draisaitl would be the best player on his team if it weren't for McDavid. Pelech and Sorokin are not the best players on their teams.

I think this is a fair assessment - Draisaitl is probably the best player on the team for 3/4 of the league if you move him out of Edmonton. In a vacuum, trading a guy like that for a young goalie with great stats in fairly limited run (73 regular season starts + 5 more in the playoffs) and a shutdown defensive D (extremely necessary if unsexy part of every contender) is probably fair value; I think in this particular case, though, there's not enough currently in the Islanders org to replace the players you're sending out. You're upgrading the offense by a ton but kneecapping your D & goalie depth charts to do it.

Haha all good. Didn't mean to be so stubborn, and you're right I don't watch the Isles (especially since I'm a Rangers fan lol).

Totally agree. I was saying also that Shesterkin for Draisaitl straight up is fair value (imo) but I still wouldn't make that trade if I'm the Rangers because there's no one ready to step into that role. Especially no one nearly as good lol.

I get what ur saying, but I think the fact that you wouldn’t do it means it’s not fair lol.

To much tinkering. Just run it back. Kane gone unfortunately so let Holloway fill in, Kulak back if Ceci is gone, ship out Barrie and Kassian for mid to late round pick

Pelech also has a Full NTC which eliminates any trade.

Sorkin isn't as proven as Sherstirkin. But Drai is too important. He wins draws, is a big physical guy.

I overall don't like this team haha. Anderson is a none starter for me.

Sorokin is a proven #1 goalie and would’ve been a vezina candidate if not for Lou ruining the left side of the Isles defensive core. Meanwhile Pelech has shown the impact he can have on opposing teams best players in the post season. Ur undervaluing both players.

Wrong soroky shouldve been a finalist. That said youre both right. You dont trade draisaitl unless youre getting back sorokin+pelech and you dont trade sorokin+pelech if all youre getting is draisaitl

Comparing sorokin and pelech who are both great in their own right to hedman and vasy or fox and igor is asinine. Pelech is elite at what he does but those 2 are in a different stratosphere

Let’s not get into the fact this guy wants the isles to take Foegele in the deal and then send Holmstrom and a second lol.

I mean, the Isles were abysmal this year with Sorokin and Pelech this year. Like painful to watch. So, gotta try and make some change. Draisaitl would at least make them fun to watch again.

Being fun and winning aren’t the same. The isles were “fun to watch” under Doug Weight. I shouldn’t have been so harsh tho.

Like imo sorokin is the 3rd best goalie and just in terms of shutdown ability pelech might be the best defensive dman. But hedman and fox are 2-way beasts. Theyre easily top 3 dmen while pelech imo sits around 20.
