Description

PHI and PIT trades and Horvat’s extension are done in the 2022 offseason. VAN signs McDonough and Livingstone after their 2023 college season’s end.

Jiricek joins the team to begin 2023/24.

In free agency they use their gobs of cap space to reel in Pastrnak as their big prize. Yes, he may already have extended somewhere, but there’s a fantastic crop of 2023 FA forwards and I’m guessing some of them test the market rather than signing early. Pasta can light it up with Petey and mentor fellow Czech Jiricek.

No way Flyers gives up a the fifth overall. Just more crazy extension talk. Gotta think Pens are lot better off, with their two players, and Zucker's ending contract next summer.

You can’t count out the possibility. They traded the 14OA and a 2023 second round pick for Rasmus Ristolainen without an extension

your all over looking the fact the Bruins have Pasta lock up for one more year at $6.66. Sorry but the Flyers aren't a J. T. Miller away from being a competitive team. So they're not giving up the 5th overall pick for him.
And David Pastrnak will probably get closer to $11,000,000 on the open market and it's not going to be in Vancouver.

Yeah... Flyers fans were calling for Fletchers job last November, if he moves the 5th overall pick there will likely be a legit riot in Philly.
