Not a chance on that CBJ trade. Laine is Columbus's guy and even if the trade were up for discussion there's no way they're giving up 12th OA and taking on Mrazek's dump in addition to losing Laine for just Nylander.

laugh The 1st round pick is going to the wrong team, And Patrik Laine gets closer to $9,500,000 x 8 years not your low ball offer.
Puljujarvi and a 2nd has more value then Kerfoot. Plus Puljujarvi doesn't sign that cheaply.

Oof you went for Korpisalo?! Are you trying to build an alternative timeline Oilers here?

Also how’s this kerfoot for pj trade work?
We give you a 4th overall pick from 2016 and a 2nd, and in return we get a 150th pick from 2012…

Nah

Holy, I didn't even notice you've got Laine marked down for 3x4.5 mil and Kane at 2x4 mil. In what world do you think they actually sign those contracts?

So I guess if Tampa offered you Point for him you’d say no because he was drafted 79th overall in 2014? Not saying kerfoot is a fair trade but that’s not the right logic to not like it lol. Doesn’t matter anymore that he was drafted 4th overall, it was 6 years ago.
Nah

The Brayden Point one is a bit of an anomaly, though you are correct and this is what redrafting hindsights are for:
- https://www.nhl.com/news/2016-nhl-redraft-adam-fox-jumps-into-top-five/c-325630580

Kerfoot was indeed bumped from 150 to 21st and puljujarvi from 4th to 16th. So perhaps you could call their potential “a wash”.

However, he is four years younger and theoretically has more potential recoup remaining, whereas I’d assume Kerfoot has reached his peak (pj might never reach peak and could get worse though, who knows…)
