Team: 2022-23 New York Rangers
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 12, 2022
Published: Jun. 12, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
It's been rumored Kane misses playing with panarin. Could be a plausible move. Trade reaves by any means necessary. Buyout nemeth. Since Blais was injured I think he gets another shot on a "prove it" deal. Copp must be resigned. Any backup goalie fits behind Igor.

Not a fan of either team, but I think the Kane trade is a little light with that much retention. Also, if I’m the NYR I don’t do it, they made it to the finals without him, LAF and Kakko are just going to get better.

I'd be willing to be that you could EASILY find another team what would eat 50% of that $5.25M too. Kaner's literally owed $2.9M in cash during the year...25% of that would mean $725k

Fair, thought because there's only 1 yr left on Kane's deal it makes sense. Also Kakko was scratched last night and may request a trade

Easy Rangers decline for Kane. doesn't make any sense.

I’d rather burn the team to the ground and try to get Bedard. They need a superstar center. And Bedard is exactly that. It’s going to be the 2010’s all over again. Center core isn’t good enough to get the job done.

Panarin needs help, and never has gotten it. Copp was the first glimmer of hope. If he gets Kane it'll be 2016 all over again for both bread and kaner

That’s beyond wishful thinking. I stand by my point they need another superstar center.

$5M is a hefty retain. I don’t understand the thought process behind scratching Kakko.

I don’t agree with the first part, but definitely agree that they need a top 6 true center.

Both teams should have made this deal at this past year's TDL. Kane (1/2 retained) for the 22 or 23 1st + KK and a cap dump such as Nemeth.

Bedard is a generational talent. I think he will transcend the game like McDavid does. Adding that kind of player would be huge (it’s too bad they won’t be bad enough to try and get him).

Toews and Kane. Truly, look at the math. It would only cost a 3rd team $1.45M in cash to take another 50% off their combined deals. Most of their money is signing bonus and the Hawks are certainly paying 100% of that.

Kane is not a center. And I’m looking at more than just next year.

I wasn’t disagreeing with Bedard I was disagreeing with burning it down to get him.

That’d be the only way to have a chance. Unless Igor and Fox and the top half of the lineup get hurt it’s likely impossible.
