Description

Even though the Rangers are going to be in a little bit of Cap Hell next year, it's the FOLLOWING year that they're really gonna feel the squeeze. Because of that, I could see them not wanting to give a big contract to Strome/Copp and instead wanting to see if Chytil can continue his great play from the playoffs.

Still need some C's though, so might as well grab some cheap ones from the buyout bin (according to a recent article from Seravalli) and see if these guys can get their game back from the classic "change of scenery".

Kakko's deal is a gamble that he grows into it. Definitely an overpay for year 1, but hopefully a bargain for years 2-5. Plus it would be a nice show of confidence in him after his confidence probably took a hit from the coach's shenanigans in game 6.

Fully agree that we should trade for a C and not sign one (Copp). Kakko deal is definitely a gamble but could really payoff big time. Also, Laf will be on the top 6.

Hawks are rebuilding, buying out Johnson doesn't make sense for them. In fact, they will probably be trading for more bad contracts if they are indeed going in the right direction and rebuilding.

I know the Dickinson buyout penalty is not bad at all but I’m just not sure the Canucks want more dead cap
