We need Fiala or Debrincat. If we are trading 7th (possibility) , it should be to add a longterm core player that fits the age group

Ya unfortunately Debrincat is a pipe dream and personally I'm not sold on Fiala. Schmaltz is similar and would be cheaper...maybe not this cheap...but he'd be an immediate upgrade.

Even with the retention Murray probably needs a sweetener, and Toronto would have to move Mrazek first. Still not sure they'd do it. Just let the Sens buy him out if they don't want him.

Also not sure about Rutta as the first pairing, I'd rather see Branstromm in the lineup and Zub back with Chabot.

I like the idea of the Nichushkin or Burakowsky UFA signings I am seeing in a lot of these ACGM's, I think either one would be a great signing to play with Stuzle if we can get them in the $5 - $6 range at a 4-5 year term. Avs are gonna have a hard time with the cap, however, with the Avs looking so strong I think there will be a bidding war for these guys, and not sure that $ and term gets them.

Murray is a problem but I also don't see the value of retaining so much salary just to move him, I think we would get a similar saving just burying him in the AHL, and hopefully, he can help the prospects down there compete.

White is overpaid by 1.5 mil, still young and could find a place in ARI. Zaitsev is a cap dump for a 2nd. which leaves White at 2.75 mil, Reinhardt, a guaranteed 2nd (potential 1st) and 3rd for Schmaltz. Maybe slightly more is required...but I wouldn't give much more for an injury prone guy...
