Incredibly short on both the Chicago and Toronto deals.

Zaitsev and Murray both have negative value, Murray still does even if he has 2 mil retained salary

Pitt declines.

This deal does not help then win a cup in the next 3 years or give them significant pieces for their future. Someone will give a 1st for Marino.

JBD is a first and Jaraventie is pretty damn close. This is a very fair deal for Marino however your point of winning right away would stop Pittsburg from making this deal.

- Toronto : I think if Ottawa takes back Mrazek, the deal is fair

- Montreal : I would hate to give them Colin White AND Philippe Daoust (darkhorse prospect who had really impressive advanced stats in the Q in 2021) while taking back a small cap dump. I'd rather just buy out Colin White

- Chicago : value is probably a bit short (mainly because of Zaitsev's dump) but I really don't like trading Sogaard. I would instead offer (since the value is a bit short too) : 7th OA pick + Thomson/JBD + Jarventie/Sokolov/Lodin + 2nd round pick. Remove Zaitsev too

- Pittsburgh : Is Marino really worth two 1sts and a 2nd? Because I'm pretty sure JBD is still worth a first to Ottawa and that Jarventie (who they took 2nd OA in the 2nd round 2 years ago) has even improved his draft stock since his selection

I agree this doesn't work for Pitt if they're still trying to compete but Jarventie + JBD + 2nd is worth SIGNIFICANTLY more than "a 1st", at least twice more

Don’t really know what I was thinking. I understated both your package and Marinos value. I keep my point about not helping us compete now but retract the other one

Thank you for admitting a mistake/inaccurate evaluation... so refreshing too see as some people quickly turn it in a pissing challenge

People just can’t admit they are wrong when they are online. Isn’t that weird? The place where peoples words matter the least - on the internet - is where they can’t admit they are wrong

We are wrong all the time in real life... I don't think people in general have a problem recognizing it in real life, so why is it so different on the damn internet? lol
