Minnesota cannot afford Anderson's cap and term. That is why they are trading Fiala. Anderson is a little bit cheaper than what Fiala should sign for (7-8 million), but it still wouldn't help them.

The only way it makes sense is if it is a two part trade, with Anderson going to a 3rd team for a top 15 pick or equivalent prospect, and Minnesota getting that package in addition to the 26th overall.

No, it's not realistic . Minnesota declines. They have no need for Josh and aren't taking a long term contract off Montreal's hand

I'm a Mtl fan but my uncle lives in Minnesota and is huge fan.. started to like there team a lot they have a very underrated squad hammered them to win the cup this year non the less... no reason to move fiala pay him.. I don't know why they want to trade him I. can't see a trade for misoata getting another core piece and 80+ wingerthat can play up and down ur linup power play and in all situations... over the last several years year covid hit) he's been unreal such a good piece on their team they Gotta jut hold out and try to get him as little it can may that being 7-9.5

also Anderson deal they could easily retain 25-30% and it would around 3.8 .. wouldn't put it past there new management as they can take on cap space and maximize the value of the deal, as they will be unloading contacts for assets.. then sign players they like to deals they like

The problem is that Minnesota is in the Competitive mode now and want to go in series keep going the momentum of this season so they would probably ask in return young cheap roster player. Poeple who can play NHL but are on contract entry or cheaper.
