U clown.... just went for late first rounder and an a pretty good prospect in Brock. farber.. however if u follow the NCAA and specially university of minsoata you would know he's a greta player but will maybe turn into a top 4 d... this is a huge step back for minsosta... the fact that u were ripping getting a 1st rounders , josh Anderson at 3 mill and armia at 1.4 mill is laughable...

I agree it doesn't make sense for minny to trade fiala in the first place however his name is all over the media... look at the salary... Anderson retained at under 3 mill and armia at 1.5..... combined 4.5 (probably half of fiala deal) is in no way a cap dump.... but rather two quality pieces they are adding to fit under the cap for half the price of fiala and they are also getting a first rounder... not saying this will happen but that my explanation for why I think it makes sense for minny also

minny moves fiala due to cap
NJ isn't getting 26 and Andy.... you can't look at it thatn why they are getting fiala and a 2nd
I understand the argument saying why would minsosta juts do this deal with nj... but it doesn't rlly make sense for a team that just entering there cup conteding window to take big step backwards give up fiala for future assets (the pick).. I don't rllyy see why they are looking to move him but if he rlly wants tons and to s money and they don't want to pay him getting Anderson and armia at 4.5 mill combined is extrealmy valuable to contending team like minny and two guys that could rlly push you over the top... as for nj it completley makes sense to trade this pick to get a good piece now as this pick won't be impactful for a couple years and they keep adding pieces under 23 and wondering why they are a lottery team every year.. they need to add Winn now pieces/leadership if they want to take steps out of the bottom of the league ..

Thread:
minny moves fiala due to cap
explanation : if fiala wants way to much money minny would get two very impactful forwards at very low numbers ... also a first rounder which there could either keep or flip for another good player---------if nj is tired of losing and wants to be competitive, fiala gives them a top pairing winger thats still very young and who in my opinion will have a much bigger impact then slakofky or Cooley for the next several years... why wait for another prospect to have the potential to pan out and only have an legit impact years down the line (who could still easily turn out as a middle forward)... fiala gives them exactly the piece they need and that team really should start taking the next step which they have NOT... waiting for another porpect to maybe pan out as good as fiala isn't a best move if I am nj...they also get a 2nd rounder as a sweetener..------------ I think we understand why Montreal who is starting the reubuild/ retool to have another high pick..... thoughts?

bro I one hundred percent agree and would give up this and more for tkchuck.. I'm saying no way Calgary moves him and only minimal shot we would have at that player is through a massive offer sheet

Actually Realistic For Once
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>budgeteam</b></div><div>Minnesota cannot afford Anderson's cap and term. That is why they are trading Fiala. Anderson is a little bit cheaper than what Fiala should sign for (7-8 million), but it still wouldn't help them.
The only way it makes sense is if it is a two part trade, with Anderson going to a 3rd team for a top 15 pick or equivalent prospect, and Minnesota getting that package in addition to the 26th overall.</div></div>
I'm a Mtl fan but my uncle lives in Minnesota and is huge fan.. started to like there team a lot they have a very underrated squad hammered them to win the cup this year non the less... no reason to move fiala pay him.. I don't know why they want to trade him I. can't see a trade for misoata getting another core piece and 80+ wingerthat can play up and down ur linup power play and in all situations... over the last several years year covid hit) he's been unreal such a good piece on their team they Gotta jut hold out and try to get him as little it can may that being 7-9.5
also Anderson deal they could easily retain 25-30% and it would around 3.8 .. wouldn't put it past there new management as they can take on cap space and maximize the value of the deal, as they will be unloading contacts for assets.. then sign players they like to deals they like

your opinion means nothing.. Anderson is worth far more than just a first.. he's a very unique and rare player who would be a massive piece on all 32 NHL teams... he's a very valuable trade chip and the reason they are looking for big return ... (not some random scrub all u mtl haters make out to be then get surprised when the get a lot back for guy like lekky.. this won't be any different

3 way trade based off twitter rumours
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>EatMyScoobySnack</b></div><div>Correct me if am wrong the Colombus pick is the #12 Right? (Or it's the #6)
Because a pick number #12 for a good two-way center with around 40 to 50 pts and the #26 pick is a good thing.
Center always have good value but if the pick is the #6 I agree with you it's not enough for CLB. Maybe there would need to be add from MTL like a mid prospect (ex:Struble) or maybe a roster player like Drouin or Armia to help Colombus to compete?
But I have a question why is there so much trade rumor base on the same source (twitter) but it's not the same deal ?</div></div>
this twitter hockey analysts claims he heard rumblings of early stages of a big a three way trade with picks getting moved

3 way if fail wants out
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FanOfAllTeams</b></div><div>If anything they get #2</div></div>
It makes zero sense for Minnesota as team just entering there window and establishing themselves as a cup contending team to take a big step back and trade a very impactful forward for future assets such as nj pick or a 1st and prospect. however his name is all over the media as a guy to be moved... if they are looking to trade him the best package they could get is a high impact defenceman (like a Chychrun) or forward(liane) or a haul of two or three very solid players at a low number who can help them tremendously for the next several years.. I think its crazy to think this three way deal will come to fruition... however, its not far fetched to say they will get hual of guys along the lines of Anderson armia Dvorak and picks if the retain/money is right
