Description

Listen, the Oilers are kinda stuck. There's too many problems here that aren't solving themselves: Keith isn't retiring, Kane is pricing himself out, and unless you sacrifice all your depth, good luck getting him back. Beyond that, I don't trust him on a long term deal, so I'll take the risk of moving on from him.

Namestikov is a decent bottom sixer, who should aid the team on a one year deal, while I added Suter for a solid piece, while flipping Foegele as there's a lot of rumors he could move.

Trusting Smith and Skinner as my duo next year, though wouldn't mind a guy like Thomas Griess as depth.

It's a tough offseason for Edmonton, and waiting till next year to make any crazy moves.

I wouldn't be so sure about that with Hronek. I'm all up for trading him if it got us a good centre of the future but we have no one to replace him right now unless we got Petry.....

Unfortunately, Klefbom appears to be done. He's LTIR for his final contract season.

No way Yamamoto gets 5.25m over 6. He has 3 RFA years left, you're likely looking at a 2 year deal for when some of the older players cap comes off.

Puljujarvi won't sign that deal either, has 2 years of RFA left. Either a one year deal (likely preference for both sides,) two years to walk him to UFA (maybe agent wants that,) or long term.

I see Kulak signing at something like $2.25x4 to play bottom pair (Kris Russell v2.0)
