    Money and term are the only things being discussed now to finalize his contract. If all he wanted was $8.5 x 7 or 8 he would likely be signed already.

    True, I'm just throwing out a scenario in which he doesn't want to re-sign. I modeled it after the eichel trade:
    1st = 1st
    Tuch = Garland
    Krebs /= woo + 2nd

    Honestly man Laine's awful D play and sub par playdriving makes this a big overpay. I'd rather keep garland and the first

    I feel like CBJ don't go for Garland if they trade Laine to VAN. It would have to be Boeser.

    Garland is a good play driver but we need game breakers and high end offensive talent and Boeser is the only one that really fits other than Horvat or Pettersson.

    I am not sure that Woo is anything for CBJ and we're definitely getting a defenseman with one of the 3 top 15 picks. I'd definitely see Hoglander as a Krebs equivalent, but we also have a surplus of wingers so who knows.

    Not so much bagging on the trade, but the structure of the signing. If talks fall through with Columbus it's because he wants $10+ and at that point I think he's gonna have to sign another "prove it" contract wherever he winds up to try and get the money he wants long term.

    rather not. CBJ teams built of a bunch of guys that don't tip the edge of being in the best tier of a skill and are just good make the playoffs but don't win anything. See 2014-2018
