Ok first Georgiev is not an upgrade for the Oilers, he is a plan Z for them. Secondly, why in your right mind would you trade Ceci. He is the most valuable defensive asset the oilers have right now besides bouchard. So please inform me how him getting traded gets you a cup.

First off a 20 man roster with 0 cap space for injuries isn't a legit roster nor will the league even allow it.

Alexandar Georgiev is nothing short than a glorified backup. he's not worth anywhere close to a roster player and 2nd round pick. He's not an upgrade hardly over Mike Smith.

Georgiev shouldn't cost/return more than a 3rd- maybe a 4th from a team high in the draft order.

Also, you're WILDLY overpaying Yamo, icing a pathetic D corps, and you're ~800k over EDM's post-overage cap while icing a 20-man roster. This team would struggle to make the playoffs.

Sabres decline
Absolutely zero chance we’d do anything like that
We might- i repeat, might- be willing to take Kassian off your hands if u paid us to do so
And maybe we’d be interested in Ceci if he came to us very cheaply, emphasis on “very cheaply”
No way would we give up Girgensons or a 2nd, let alone both

Ranger fan here.

Even I can admit that you gave up too much for Georgiev.

The Cap space associated with moving him off the Roster is a gift, as is. If we can get a 3rd or 4th back, that's fine with me.

Teams will wait til he's not qualified and sign to a cheaper contract 1-2x 1.6m ish deal, or we sign and trade him. Either way, maybe a 7th, hope for a 6th
