Not a chance Winnipeg looks at that. Too much quantity and no quality, outside of the late1st, coming from Toronto.

Dubois has came out with his plans to test free agency in 2024 when his RFA rights expire, which means he's willing to sign a 2-year contract. This two-year contract would be in terms of length pretty ideal for the Leafs, who would need to re-sign Matthews in that timeframe. Dubois could be a fantastic 2C for the Leafs.

WPG takes in couple of contracts that helps Leafs cap wise that they can convert into futures themselves, as well as future assets.

Exactly. It's great for Toronto and awful for Winnipeg. So the Jets don't touch it.

Actually it's bad for the Leafs. Leafs are better having Kerfoot and Holl for one more season.....and a 22 man roster. Then the Leafs have 5.5m free cap next seasons, as well as Niemela, and the top three draft picks. So Kerfoot is 50 point player for the Leafs playing mostly 3rd line minutes, had the highest plus minus among forwards on the team, Is 60 point PLD THAT much of an improvement?

I think it would be, especially having line mates who will play Defense. well at least compared to Scheifele.

He didn’t even play with scheifele lol. This is an awful deal for Winnipeg. Regardless of Dubois hitting FA in 2024, there’s a better package out there. Most players use the FA tactic as a way for more money. I also don’t blame him for not committing rn as the jets don’t even have a head coach lol. I’d be willing to bet he gets a 1 year deal and they renegotiate during the season and next summer.
