Description
Trying to move up in the draft by trading a couple pieces. Never seen any rumours about Anderson to LA but they have a stacked prospect pool, and Anderson would be more useful than another pick, and burgervan is in LA now.. That is probably more than enough for dach, Chicago gets 2 prospects and gets back into the first round..Dallas gets their klingberg replacement, a cheaper better backup, and gurianov can be hit or miss, THERE IS SUPPOSED TO BE A 2nd ADDED BY MTL to even this out…this is all assuming mtl takes slaf

That's funny the LA trade. 35 point players costing 5.5m aren't worth their contracts in today's NHL. Hey for 5.5m X 5 teams sign the superior UFA Copp for free. Heck UFA Mikheyev will cost 3.5m.

Montreal is not taking Slaf, the report by MacKenzie was a poll among 10 NHL scouts, it could be a tainted poll. There literally could have been 1 more scout who said Slaf over Wright just to muddy the waters in hopes that Montreal takes Slaf and Wright falls to them. The ranking wasn't MacKenzie's or even TSN's it was just a poll of random NHL scouts it quite literally means very little at this point.

Also, Price was playing softball this weekend in Kelona with Gally and Eddy. He looked good, no brace or tape on his knee and seemed to be quite comfortable. My guess is he is starting the season.

As my esteemed friend @palhal says, UFAs Andrew Copp or Ondrej Palat can probably be had for $5.5 million for free. After all, we got Phillip Danault for $5.5 million last summer, and he went 27-24=51 points for us. Or we could trade lesser assets for Conor Garland, who went 19-33=52 points and has a cap hit of $4.95 million for 4 seasons.

If we trade the 19th overall draft pick, it should be for some heavy hitter like Kevin Fiala or Jakob Chychrun.

True, they can be had for free but that’s only if you can actually sign them, and the 19th overall isn’t getting you chychrun, or fiala haha. Point totals aren’t everything believe it or not, 5.5 to be a physical force, score 15-25 goals, and fight. There are not many people in the league like Anderson hence why there is lots of interest in him

That’s too bad, love price and all that he’s done for the habs, but that 10 million in cap space would be much more beneficial than price actually playing.

Hawks aren't going to trade Dach unless it's a overwhelming offer and this probably isn't it. No team should pay an overwhelming amount for Dach either given his question marks.

I'd much -- MUCH -- rather not sign Copp or Palat than trade #19 for Josh Anderson.

Your misconception that I implied that #19 alone would get us Fiala or Chychrun is truly amusing.
