Trochek’s next contract will probably be worth 3 times as much

You're missing like 2m and 2-3 years on that Trocheck signing. And another 2-3 years for Husso.

You also really aren't cap compliant to begin with, unless you're fine with dressing 18-19 skaters regularly.

3 times as much as in $30+ million. $6 mil x 5 years or $7 mil x 4 years is a pretty conservative estimate for him.

LOL, ok good..........I was going by yearly cap hit. Personally i think he's a 5x5 guy, but you're right on term. He's not taking 3, Marchment isn't taking 1 and Husso isn't taking 2

OP signed a 3 year deal at 4.25 mill which is a total of 12.75 million.

3 times more would be a total of 38.25 million, which would be an AAV of 6.375 over 6 years.

Evolving hockey projects him at 6.608 on a 6 year deal which is actually even more than 3 times

You're underrating him. A late 2nd is the worst he gets.

Well you’re the homer here, being a Leafs fan
So it’s quite fair to say that I’m a bit less biased than you in this particular matter

Anything but a homer. Just realistic. I would say the bias is on you. Why would leafs move a 50 point guy that can play centre and kills penalties well for anything less than a 2nd. Even if the market got that bad it would just be better to keep him.

    Well then you’d be wrong
    I’m not a Leaf’s fan, nor a Flames fan
So i don’t have a dog in this fight one way or another
    Therefor, I’m naturally unbiased
Whereas, you being a Leafs fan, are naturally biased

    Words matter
If u aren’t sure what one means, it’s very easy to look them up now. Give it a shot pal

    Side note:
I’m actually watching “The Dark Knight Rises” right now
Mentioned it bc of your half Joker pic
    Good movies
