The Jets should not trade Scheifele for a rental.

Do a sign and trade. We need to get Scheifele and Wheels out of the city

Van decline. They would rather resign their younger, cheaper captain.

Canucks aren’t moving Horvat, also that’s a god awful deal on your end. Giving us Wheeler for free basically lmao.

NYR laugh at you and hang up, then call you back to laugh some more and hang up again.

The Penguins trade is actually fairly decent, although I think a pick might need to be added to make it more balanced for the Jets. I honestly feel Wheeler is probably going to the Pens.

The Canucks trade isn't bad value-wise; however, Horvat brings more of a defensive mindset to the C position for the Canucks, as their other C are much better offensively. Scheifele brings only and offensive game and next to nothing on the defensive side, which the Canucks already have Petterson and Miller for that (although Miller has better defensive play than both Scheifele and Petterson). For that reason I don't think this trade would happen, just not good trading partners.

The Red Wings trade is good value-wise, but I only see it happening if they don't bring back either Staal or DeKyser.

I don't think the Rangers have any intention of trading Lafrenière. Replace him with Kakko and this probably gets accepted though.

They don't do sign and trades in the NHL and the Jets can't afford to lose that much offense dropping from Scheifele to Horvat.

If Winnipeg is trading a 23 year old 1C, it's for a kings ransom

Agree. Horvat won't be cheaper once he re-signs though.

Or the Rangers just re-sign Copp and keep everything else. At his best Dubois is a .75 ppg player...
