Yes but this guarantees they get the center they desperately need. Before some idiot GM gives Strome 7yr 6M on Thursday lol

There was a possibility of this kind of trade being considered before they extended Roslovic. Now that they have I really doubt they would consider it since they have Roslovic, Boone, Sillinger and Kuraly with Johnson, Danforth and Gaunce able to step in at center if needed. I'm sure they'd sooner draft a center or two at 6 or 12 and then hope they get their top 6 centers for the future covered by Roslovic, Sillinger, Johnson and whoever they draft.

if they want to guarentee themselves a center, they can get a better one than strome with that first and then chance him as a UFA.

Columbus should just keep the 12th.

Not really. What they desperately need is a true star 1C. Strome doesn't really provide a whole lot more than Jenner or Roslovic as a top 6C right now.

Thanks for input. I thought it’d be an interesting trade idea. My opinion from Hawks perspective is to keep Strome. We’ll see what happens.

Strome isn’t any better then the centers Columbus already has. Can’t see Columbus moving 12 for Strome and as very late 1st.

We don't have the kind of superstar winger necessary to make Strome a viable option, and if we did we'd be using that winger with someone better in any case.
